WEEK OF MAY 4th: This week we will continue with our nuclear project. Students are going to narrow down what their topic is and start to make their presentation this week.
Monday:
  • Trinity packet #2 (white) quiz
  • Show example of one group's google doc so far
  • Notes on radioactive decay and practice
  • Homework: Packet B (Nuclear Radiation, salmon color) reading guide (DUE WEDNESDAY)


Tuesday:
  • Don't forget to do your Packet B reading guide homework!
  • Small quiz on radioactive decay
  • Computer lab: group research projects, create google slides presentation

WEEK OF APRIL 27th: This week we will begin our nuclear project. I have provided supplemental text for this project. The first packet includes a flyer from a fictitious town hall meeting that will take place, for a group called CANE (Citizens Against Nuclear Exposure). Students are going to analyze and interpret information and research an aspect in order to present information at this town hall meeting! This project will take about 2 weeks and we will present to each other!

Monday:
  • Start Nuclear Project (copyright issues - cannot post copies here, please pick up supplemental readings from me!)
  • Homework: Read packet #1 from Trinity: a graphic history of the development of the atomic bomb
  • Room 4 - Read first packet and discuss in groups/answer 4 questions with group (create google doc)


Tuesday:
  • Room 4 - continue project!


Wednesday:
  • Room 4 - continue project!


Thursday:
  • Room 4 - I'm at professional development, Dr. Lallie McKenzie is going to be your substitute! She has a PhD in Chemistry!
